This e-mail is in response to the Ray Allen story today!
My wife called me into the bedroom as she was intently watching the interview about Ray’s precious son, Walker. About a year and a half ago, our beautiful two and a half year old son Christian also was very thirsty and had wet the bed twice. Our world changed forever. Being in the health care field and a youth pastor, I began to pray and also began to be in denial about the symptoms although they were recognizable. My wife and I just knew that our precious baby boy was not a type 1 diabetic. Thankfully our path was prepared by a scripture from Joshua 1:9 two days before his diagnosis. Yes, Christian had type 1 diabetes. In our North Carolina area, we have become strong fighters against this disease. We try and make our son’s life as normal as possible and his beautiful 8 year old sister is such a great help. It still does not take away the pain when we have to administer his insulin with a 31 guage needle. I find myself crying at times, but I also find my self thankful that God would choose Ruth and I to take care of our sweet boy. We will always do whatever it take to make sure that he and his sister are well taken care of. It was so moving to see such a high profile athlete reveal his fears and feelings. Thanks Ray and may God help us find a cure in this fight against diabetes together. One day when we are able to get to one of your games (maybe in Charlotte), hopefully Walker and Christian can meet. Christian is now 4.
Sincerely,
DJ Coles

Diabetes can be prevented by just having a physically active lifestyle. Just exercise everyday and avoid eating too much. Avoid sweets and high carb foods too.

Caramoan are you serious?! Do you really not know the the difference between type 1 and type 2 diabetes? Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease. Your body attacks your pancreas and kills your beta cells. You no longer produce insulin.
Type 2 diabetes is preventable and reversible for most people, but Type 1 is not.
How dare you give advise on a subject you are so ignorant about. This is an innocent child that did nothing wrong. (Nor did his parents) That is the problem with this world. All we ever hear about is type 2 diabetes, so we group type 1 with them also. Type 1 diabetes is not something anyone caused, can prevent, or get rid of. All we can do is our best to manage it with insulin and hope for a cure one day.

If you have been looking for ways of maximizing your ad space then this new solution might give you some food for thought: essentially, it is an ad manager that comes in the form of a PHP script that you install on your site. OIOPublisher can be installed both as a standalone platform or as a WordPress plugin, and all type of ads are taken into consideration. These include both text and banner ads, and the ads themselves can be broken into different zones for more efficient exposure. Moreover, the provided platform enables the user to sell digital products through his or her site and reach an instant public that way. The main objective of this company is to give website owners and advertisers a platform that will let them connect with each other directly, and leave middle men out of the picture as much as possible. If that sounds good to you, simply reach the site by my name and see whether or not it delivers the goods.
Contact me if you decide to buy their services and need help or simply click on my name as I will update the following link every month: http://www.oiopublisher.com/ref.php?u=1585 – you will get the discount (highest available online) through my affiliate link.

Hi there I enjoyed your post. I think that it is important when talking about diabetes to at least refer to natural therapies that have been shown to be effective in managing high blood glucose. Numerous natural herbs can be including in a diabetics treatment that can help keep a healthy glucose level.

All exercises are different. You might like swimming, so swim. If you like hiking then hike. You might like the treadmill, so use the treadmill. Do whatever works for you- that isn’t too much of a undertaking for you to do routinely throughout the week. Don’t select a workout that you don’t enjoy – or you won’t want to do it, and you definitely won’t keep with it for very long. I also wouldn’t recommend buying into that whole “no pain, no gain” concept. People lose weight without hurting themselves all the time
